Gin fizz
- 1.5 ounces Old Diamond Wedding gin
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- .5 ounce simple syrup, or sugar
- 2.5 ounces soda or sparkling water ("fizz")
- Ice cubes
Add gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Gently shake it, then strain it into a glass filled with ice. Add soda, and garnish with a slice of lemon.
Note: To make it alcohol-free, just leave out the gin and add more club soda. Very refreshing!
gin and tonic
- 2 ounces Old Diamond Wedding gin
- 4 ounces tonic water
- tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Lime wedge for garnish
Place the ice cubes in a tall, narrow, chilled glass. Add the gin, tonic water, and lime juice. Stir well. Garnish with a lime wedge, and serve immediately.
gin smash (aka a gin-based mint julep)
- 2 ounces Old Diamond Wedding gin
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 4 ounces club soda or sparkling water
- A glass 2/3 full of shaved ice
- 3-4 sprigs mint
- Ice cubes
Muddle the mint in a cocktail shaker. Add gin, sugar, club soda, and ice. Shake well to dissolve sugar. Strain drink into a glass with ice, and garnish with a fresh sprig of mint.
tom collins
- 2 ounces Old Diamond Wedding gin
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1 ounce superfine or powdered sugar
- 3 ounces club soda
- Ice cubes
- 1 maraschino cherry
- 1 slice orange
In a shaker, half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar. Shake well. Strain into a Collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda. Stir and garnish with cherry and orange slice.
